Very few interventions or career days have the advantage of practically illustrating what a career is all about. The finals of the very successful annual AECOM-SAICE International Bridge Building Competition 2015, organised by the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE), provide learners with this opportunity.
SAICE recently carried out a general survey to assess the sentiment of engineering professionals wishing to explore careers in the public sector. This survey was carried out in association with the 3 largest engineering associations, namely, the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE), South African Institute of Mechanical Engineers (SAIMechE) and Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA)
The SAICE Presidential delegation led by SAICE President Malcolm Pautz and CEO Manglin Pillay embarked on the Johannesburg leg of the annual presidential visit on 20 August 2015.
