WITS University hosted the CIOB NOVUS CONSTRUCTION SUMMIT between 8-9 September 2014 at the Science Stadium. The theme focused on the built environment chain.
The following schools were invited to attend this event: Construction Economic and Management, Civil engineers and Architecture, urban and regional planners. The Council for the Built Environment (CBE) talked about how the built environment operates, they provided some insight on how to ensure transformation, development and growth amongst the built environment professions. The CBE further pointed out some of the shortcomings they were experiencing and shared their strategy for creating a climate for ongoing transformation and development of the profession.
On the second day the councils and organisations had the opportunity to endorse themselves to the students. The day ended with inspirational testimonials from young professionals within the industry.
