Civil Engineering April 2021 9 Qu i z Civil Engineering’s most recent Know Your Sector Competition winner, Jimen Reddy, is a design engineer at JG Afrika’s Highway Section in Pietermaritzburg. What he enjoys most about his position is the satisfaction of solving problems in his day-to-day work along with constantly learning new skills from the senior engi- neers around him. In his free time, Jimen enjoys playing squash and golf, and visiting nature reserves in and around Durban and Pietermaritzburg. He was ecstatic when he heard the news of his win, which came on the Tuesday after the Easter weekend. “Massive thanks to SAICE, I thoroughly enjoy the monthly magazine and the SAICE Know Your Sector quizzes!” he said. Jimen plans to use his winnings to spoil the special people in his life and will save some of the money for a trip to Europe, which was initially booked for April 2020 but delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
