Lerato SolomonLerato Solomon is a dedicated Development Practitioner and Mental Health Advocate, renowned for her impactful work in promoting mental health awareness, sustainable development, and community empowerment. With a passion for recognizing the humanity in every individual, Lerato has founded and spearheaded initiatives that address social challenges, enhance social cohesion, and foster sustainable growth. As the founder of Mental Matters and a NGO Mental Matters Matter, Lerato amplifies mental health advocacy for women, youth, and businesses, promoting accessible mental health care and destigmatizing mental health issues. Lerato’s commitment to sustainable development is further demonstrated through her roles as a UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth fellow and a Sustainability Leader for United People Global. Her innovative projects and training sessions in underserved communities highlight her dedication to social sustainability. Recognized for her work, Lerato has been honored as one of the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in the Health category and a finalist for the Fabulous Woman Awards and the TransUnion Rising Star Award in the Entrepreneur category. Her work continues to inspire and create lasting change, driven by a deep-seated belief in empathy, passion, and humanity.
