RE: LGSETA CANDIDACY PHASE SUPPORT FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES TRAINING TOWARDS PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION AS PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGERS OR CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS

In collaboration with Local Government Sector Education Training Authority (LGSETA) the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) has embarked on special program to assist employees within municipalities who are either registered as Candidates or are eligible to register to upgrade to Professional Status after three years.  The targeted Candidates are those who are in the last three years or less of their Candidature period. In addition, those applicants who meet the requirements of being registered as Candidates whose applications would be subjected to an assessment by the SACPCMP and those to be accepted into the programme would be those whose recommended Candidature period is three years or less.

Candidates who are already enrolled in the other special program such as Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) or similar must not apply to be enrolled in this program.

We are therefore soliciting your assistance by forwarding this information to Construction Project Managers in any Municipality. The applicants must possess Built Environment Qualification which meets the Council requirements for registration.

Candidates who meet the requirements are encouraged to access and complete the application forms from the below link. The closing date for application is 25 November 2015.

We are looking forward to your valued support and feel free to get in touch with us should you need any further clarity.

Kind regards

Nicholas Malebane

We deal mainly with maintenance of structures, buildings, rail, roads etc. I am registered under ECSA as a candidate Engineering Technologist and under SAICE as a Associate Member. My highest qualification is BT: Civil Engineering which I completed at D.U.T.

  2. Good day

I was very interested to see your advert of Candidacy Support Programme with the SACPCMP and would like to be considered for Candidate Construction Project Manager. I just need a clarity on the statement: The applicants must possess Built Environment Qualification which meets the Council requirements for registration.
I have a BTech in Mechanical Engineering, BTech in Project Management and I have been working in Construction Project environment for 4years. I just want to know if these qualifications are of Built Environment Qualification? Can I process my applications with these qualifications and my experience?
    Thanking you in advance
