Proud sponsor and partner PPS joined forces with SAICE on 4 August 2017 at the University of Pretoria to provide insight and guidance to the civil engineering students. The roadshow titled ‘Civil Engineering Professionals of the Future’ – presented a series of talks where students were provided with insight ranging from furthering their tertiary education, being proud of the profession they chose as a career as well as how to make the most impact in industry. The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) also explained the registration process and the importance of one being registered as a professional civil engineering practitioner.
SAICE CEO Manglin Pillay PrEng once again inspired these young minds by expressing the importance of being involved and active as a civil engineer within industry.
The SAICE Student Chapter (SAICE TUKS) remains an active and instrumental student initiative aimed at providing civil engineering students with opportunities, keeping them up to date with what is happening in industry as well as providing their members with exposure within the field.
