Face to Face Courses
Face-to-face training is a traditional instruction method where the instructor and learners are physically in the same place, such as a classroom or training room. This synchronous learning model, where everyone learns at the same time, allows for real-time interaction, direct communication, and immediate feedback.
Â
While face-to-face training offers significant benefits in terms of engagement and interaction, it can also be more costly and less flexible than other training methods. It requires participants to be at a specific location at a specific time, which may not be convenient for everyone.
Online Courses
Online instructor-led training, often delivered as a webinar, is a form of virtual instructor-led training (VILT). This is a synchronous learning model, meaning the instructor and learners are logged in and participating at the same time, but from different physical locations. It uses web conferencing platforms (like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex) to recreate a traditional classroom experience in a virtual environment.
Â
This mode of delivery effectively blends the direct guidance of an expert instructor with the convenience and reach of online technology. The only disadvantage of this mode is there is an obligatory Multiple Choice Assessment requirement to pass the course where indicated (Usually for formal courses or events longer than 3 hours).
Self Paced Learning Courses
Self-paced learning is an asynchronous training method where individuals have complete control over their learning journey. Unlike structured, scheduled training, learners can start, stop, and progress through the course material at their own speed and on their own time. More importantly they can do the course from anywhere in the world. This approach is designed for maximum flexibility and is delivered through digital platforms, making it accessible from anywhere with an internet connection.
All course materials—such as pre-recorded videos, readings, and interactive modules—are typically available from the start. This allows learners to access the content whenever it is most convenient for them, fitting education around work and personal commitments. The only disadvantage of this mode is there is an obligatory Multiple Choice Assessment requirement to pass the course.
